Steps that are needed to undertake research

This is a flexible step either in which some steps might be combined with other steps or one step might be explained in detail. It means the step should be checked if one activity was abandoned or forgotten. These steps are also useful in the making of research budget such as in the preparation, implementation, and report writing. The steps are:
1.Formulating a clear research problem.
2.Determining the source of information.
3.Dteriming the methods of data gathering and how to obtain it from its sources.

What Data Can Give

Data may give description about the situation or problem. Population data gives description about situation or problem of the population, such as the number, its growth, its education, its distribution accross region, its income which describes about standard of living. Data of national income gives description about about the level of welfare of one nation. Data of import/export give description about the situations/problems of international trade. Marketing data give description about the situations/problems in marketing (decreasing sales, result of sales based o types of goods and sales region which describes about the kind of goods that were saleable and in what region).

Meaning of data

Data are things known or assumed, that means if data are something which is known or assumed. This might be about age (such as 40 years old), the supply of rice is enough. Because assumption might be true or might be false, assumption in the form of hypothesis should be examined first with the way by collecting the data first and by using the certain examining criteria or criteria test. One survey might be said as conducted in order to examine hypothesis or assumption that might be right or might be wrong. Wrong assumption could lead to wrong decision.
